STARTED & FINISHED:
Well, so it's been a while since I posted here, it seems.  I'd like to say that part of the reason that I have been delinquent is because of the new policy surrounding blogging and being on an ALSC Award Committee (i.e. If you are on a committee, you aren't allowed to talk about what you are reading for consideration AT ALL.  No reviews, nothing.).  OH, by the way, I found out on May 2nd (?) that I was elected to the 2016 NEWBERY COMMITTEE!!  Whoohoo!  Thanks to all who may be looking at this right now who so kindly voted for me!  It was just over 10 years ago now that I had the inkling to get into the children's librarian profession, and this is certainly the honor of honors in my nascent career.  And, hopefully just the first of many...

Here are the last few titles that I can remember reading!  Since getting the word about the Newbery election, I've been trying to scour blogs for tips on what folks are deeming Newbery-worthy this year and then reading those, as well as throwing in a past Newbery title here and there.

STARTED:
Auxier, Jonathan. (2014).  The night gardener. New York: Amulet/Abrams.
