[LOVED a couple of Funke's other books, but, as with Inkheart, I just couldn't get through this one. I honestly felt like I had missed a previous volume in a series - it just seemed to start and demand a bunch of advance knowledge of the characters and situation. Maybe I'll give it another try some other time.]
